![]() And the only way to get items that can push true endgame content is to either A) Put up with the most obtuse and convoluted 'crafting' system ever devised by man, or B) Trade for those items with other players using currency you've farmed. One of the major criticisms I always level against it is world drops are rarely ever worth anything except being vendor trash. It is one giant slot machine with multiple layers of RNG and time sinks per stage. My question wasn't intended to compare the two, but rather see what type of game the D3 fanbase enjoys playing more in their off-time.Īs someone who also has 1500+ hours in PoE, I've always maintained that calling what they have 'crafting' is extremely generous. If neither, please suggest what else you recommend!ĮDIT: I know these are 2 totally different games, with different playstyles. One is an mmorpg and the other is a online ARPG, so that begs the question, which one of these games does the D3 player prefer to play in the off-season time, or when they are burnt out? Both of these games are incredibly popular and ridiculously fleshed out when it comes to end game content (and happen to be F2P). These 2 games are clearly the most popular, and I will try both at some point. I've been looking to get into another isometric ARPG type game with a lot more of a social appeal and online presence while I wait for season27 (and beyond). ![]() I've levelled a few characters by this point, and love the low-barrier to entry, and the fact I can pick it up and play at any time, and not feel pressured. The combat, and animations, the class design, it's all been really fun for me. Recently, I've gotten into Diablo 3, and I love it.
